Directions from From Main Branch to Putterham

  1. Take a right out of the parking garage or driveway onto Washington St.
  2. At the light, take a left onto Cypress St.
  3. Take Cypress across Boylston St. (Rte. 9).
  4. Take the next right onto Walnut St.
  5. At the fork, bear left to get onto Warren St. The Frederick Law Olmsted House will be on your right.
  6. Follow Warren St. to the rotary. From the rotary, take a left onto Lee St.
  7. Lee St. becomes Clyde St.
  8. At the end of Clyde St., take a right onto Newton St.
  9. Go straight through the lights at the gas station to get onto Grove St.
  10. Take Grove to the Putterham rotary, West Roxbury Parkway.
  11. Go three-fourths of the way around the Putterham rotary to be headed toward West Roxbury.
  12. The Putterham Branch Library is immediately on the left.

From Putterham to Main:

  1. Take a right out of the parking lot onto West Roxbury Parkway.
  2. Go to the Putterham rotary and take the first right onto Grove St.
  3. Take Grove (becomes Newton St.) to the second light. Stay in either of the two left lanes.
  4. Take a left onto Clyde St., which becomes Lee St.
  5. Take Lee to the little rotary.
  6. Take the first exit out of the rotary onto Warren St.
  7. Take Warren to Walnut St. (bear right at the Olmsted House).
  8. Take Walnut to the light.
  9. Turn left onto Cypress.
  10. Take Cypress across Rte. 9 to the third light, which is the intersection with Washington St.
  11. At Washington St., take a right. The library is immediately on your left. The entrance to the parking garage is just after the building, between the Library and Town Hall. Bear left at the bottom of the driveway for the Library parking garage. There are also a few spaces on the driveway in front of the building, including 4 handicapped spaces. There is metered parking on the street.
