Information for Performers

The BROOKLINE LIBRARY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (BLMA), founded in 1951, hosts six free concerts each season. This provides an opportunity for talented young artists to perform and for members of our community to hear them.

These concerts are held in Hunneman Hall on the top floor of the Main Library at 361 Washington Street in Brookline.

If you are a performer or a member of a musical group that would like to be considered for one of the six slots, you need to do the following:

  1. Send us a CD.
  2. Send us your contact information.
  3. Send us all of the above by February 28 (February 29 in a leap year) to be considered for the upcoming season, which runs from October to April. We will inform you by the end of March if you or your group has been selected.
E.g., to perform between October 2008 and April 2009, we need your application by February 29, 2008.

Please be advised that because of the large number of audition packages we receive, we are unable to return your materials.
