Children ages 3-12 are invited to register for our Summer Reading Program. The theme this year is "WILD READS @ your library" and is sponsored by the Public Library of Brookline, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and the Massachusetts Regional Library Systems. Registration may be done in person at the Library or online. Titles of books read may be recorded online on a personal reading log. At the end of the summer, participants will show their logs to the librarians and be rewarded for their reading by choosing either a glow-in-the-dark frisbee or a colorful book bag.

Throughout the summer participants may pick up discount coupons to local museums, whale watches, gardens and other cultural sites. Children may also ‘vote’ for a llama, a goat, or a flock of chicks to be donated to families in villages far away through our participation in Heifer International’s Read to Feed program. Just drop a coin or two in the containers when visiting the Library. The Friends of the Library will match your contribution.

Please join us for all the wild and wonderful programs at the Library starting June 25th with storyteller/singer Mary Jo Maichack and her Feast of Beasties! Pick up a schedule of events at the library or check our website for details.
