Game On Tournament!

Check out the photos from our Gaming Tournament launch for the Game On Summer Reading Program.  Over 30 teens attended, and they are already demanding more.  Remember, the finale is Friday August 29th, where we’ll have more gaming and the prize raffle for the entire summer program.  This is all possible thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Brookline Library—thanks for all your support!

Let me know by commenting here what kind of games you’d like to play, plus any interest you might have in gaming once the school year starts.  Monthly meetings?  When?  Let me know!

Yes, we can definitely play Guitar Hero!  I was actually thinking that would be best for the finale tournament.  So here’s a question—would you want to play Guitar Hero or Rock Band?

This may or may not have anything to do with the tournament but what are the weekly prizes, and where am I going to be able to see them on the internet?

No, you do not need a new permission form if you’ve already turned one in at the tournament in June.  No worries!

Also, do we need to sign another form to go to the gaming tournament in August even handed one in for the tournament in June?

Would it be possible to play any Guitar Hero Games at the tournaments?

Hey Alex and everyone!

I’m open to playing other games on the xbox, but I fear we cannot play any games rated Mature, which all of the games you listed are.  It’s possible that we could host a different tournament someday that might include M-rated games, but for this event, we can’t.  It is a teen program, after all, so I have to limit the game to teen games.

Is it possible to play any other games than DDR on the xbox 360 I saw at the tournament on June 25? Like Army of 2, Call of Duty 4, or Halo 3?
