Teen Summer Reading Finale next Tuesday!
Posted by Robin Brenner on Wed, Aug 26, 2009 at 10:12 am | 0 Comment(s)
Please join us for celebrating the end of summer reading in the Teen Room from 6-8pm Tuesday evening, September 1st. We’ll have snacks, show off the variety of things you all created this summer, and have our finale raffle! Remember, prizes include two grand prizes: a Flip video camera and an iPod Touch, plus a wide variety of gift certificates, so all the more reason to log your hours. You do not
have to be present to win (although, of course, it’s way more fun if you are)—if you cannot make the finale, then please let me know ahead of time and I’ll arrange to make sure to include you in our
finale raffle as planned.
Remember you MUST log your summer reading hours (i.e. the time you spent reading this summer) by this coming Monday, August 31st. I need to have a record of all of your reading hours so I can organize the raffle for Tuesday evening.
If you have any questions about logging your hours or any part of the summer reading program, please feel free to email me here at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), give me a call here at the library
at 617-730-2370, or just stop by and see me here at the Main Library. Just ask for me and someone will track me down!

are.
Here’s how it works:
Sign up in the library or online, and you’ll automatically be entered into our raffles every two weeks, and then our big finale raffle. All you have to do is read! The more you read, the more chances you get.
Every time you log in = 1 chance
Every two hours you read = 1 chance
Every title read from the Express Yourself Reading List = 2 chances
Every 100-word title review = 2 chances
Every event you attend = 3 chances
Grand prizes this year include a Flip Video Camera and an iPod Touch!
Please note: while you do not have to preregister for most events (the exception being the Henna Tattoo Program Friday July 17th), you do have to register for the Summer Reading Program to be eligible to win prizes and gain credit for reading and attending out events! It only takes a minute, so please do so! If you haven’t already registered when you attend an event, we will have a computer set up so you may register in the library.
