Teen Reviews: Playlist Template
Create a Title Playlist
Have you ever heard a song and thought, "Wow, if Hermione from Harry Potter had a theme song, that would be it"? Maybe not with Hermione, but for your latest favorite character?
If you're not so thrilled about writing a prose book review, try this: create a playlist, or soundtrack, inspired by your favorite title.
Sadly, we can't share actual playlists (though if you want to make an iMix and let us know where to find it, feel free!), but writing out liner notes means everyone else can see what you thought best musically represented the story. Make sure to include the song title, the recording artist, and a note about why you included that song. Remember, soundtracks traditionally have around 20 songs, so aim for that number, but of course playlists can be longer (so if you're inspired, go with it.)
Tips
Think about music or songs that represent:
Characters
The setting (you make whole mixes out of songs about places!)
The mood or tone of the title
Important events in the story
What the story made you feel as a reader
