Teen Tech Week March 4-10th 2007
The Brookline Public Library celebrated Teen Tech Week!
What is Teen Tech Week?
Teen Tech Week is a national event sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) designed to celebrate all of the ways libraries and teens connect through technology. Libraries have a lot to offer, technology-wise, from Internet resources to excellent online databases to DVDs.
What is the library doing for Teen Tech Week?
We held three major events for teens during the week:
Teen Tech Week Author Chat
Teens joined us for a live chat online with Holly Black (author of Tithe, Valiant, and the forthcoming Ironside, and the Spiderwick Chronicles for kids) and David Lubar
(author of Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie, Hidden Talents, and the upcoming sequel, True Talents)
Read Holly Black's Chat transcript from Tuesday night!
Read David Lubar's Chat transcript from Thursday afternoon!
