Notice: Entrance Closings — UPDATE

Roy Mackenzie | January 12, 2017

To better serve the community, we are replacing the security gates at the entrances of all three Brookline libraries. This requires special electrical work and carpentry, so, to ensure patron safety and a successful installation, we will be closing the entrances and rerouting people to alternate entrances at all locations during the installation.

We have completed the necessary work at the Brookline Village Library Thursday afternoon, ahead of schedule.

Over the next week or so, work will move to the Putterham Library before moving to the Coolidge Corner Library. The main entrances will be closed to patrons during these installation times, and patrons will be redirected to side entrances. Notices of specific dates will be posted as soon as they become available.

Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our buildings and service. Any questions or concerns may be directed to Callan Bignoli, Assistant Library Director for Technology, at
