An Evening with Dan Brown

From The Da Vinci Code to his latest blockbuster, Origin, Dan Brown is one of the most celebrated writers of our time. On Wednesday, May 15, he will visit Brookline High School to talk about his career, his novels, and his love of libraries.

The Trustees of the Public Library of Brookline are pleased to sponsor An Evening with Dan Brown, which is free and open to the public. This event is hosted by Hank Phillippi Ryan, bestselling author and award winning journalist. Brown will speak in Brookline High School’s Auditorium, at 115 Greenough Street, at 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 7 PM; seating is limited. Signed copies of Brown’s latest book, Origin, will be available for purchase courtesy of the Brookline Booksmith.

Let’s build a website! Learn to build your very own website using HTML and CSS in this two-part class. On Saturday, May 11 we will review the basics of HTML and get you started with your very own webpage. Return on Saturday, May 19 for an in-depth class about making your website look stellar with the basics of CSS.

Tee Off at the Library

SATURDAY, June 15
|
Join us for a day of mini-golf, quests, dragons, food, and drinks! Our annual Tee Off at the Library mini-golf event takes place on June 15, and tickets are available now. We'll have an all-ages event from noon-4 PM and an adult (21+) event from 6-9 PM. At this year's Ye Olde Tee Off, there will be fencing demonstrations, archery (with suction-cup arrows), a green screen photo booth, and much more!

This club is for all the film nerds out there looking to meet others in the LGBTQ+ community, make friends, and explore queer cinema. We meet every second Thursday of the month at 6:30 PM at Hops N Scotch in Coolidge Corner to discuss our movie of the month and hang out. Similar to a book club, DVD copies of the films are held at the Circulation Desk at the Brookline Village Library for you to pick up and watch on your own time. May’s film is the Norwegian supernatural thriller, Thelma (2017).
