Tails and Tales Summer Reading
|
|
It's the last week of summer reading! Adults, make sure you log your reading hours in Beanstack or show your reading log to a librarian to claim you book sale voucher (for 20 hours of reading) or enter the grand prize raffle (for 50 hours).
|
|
Kids and families, make sure to record your hours and stop by to pick up your Lib-Buddy and add-ons. On vacation? Not to worry. Prize pickups will continue after August 20, but logging will end, so as long as you've recorded your reading you'll still be able to pick up your prize.
|
|
|
|
Does your Lib-Buddy live in a fantasy forest? Under the sea? At the library?! Bring your Lib-Buddy to visit any (or all!) Library location(s) for a photo opportunity in our Lib-Buddy habitats. Scenes will be available for photos during open hours between Monday, August 16 and Friday, August 27.

Help Name the Library Dragon!

Help us name our library dragon! Can you think of the perfect name for a big, blue dragon? Drop off suggestions on paper at the Brookline Village Library Children's Desk. We will announce the selected name in early September!

Summer Storytime @ Brookline Village

Join us for stories under the sun! We’ll share approximately 30 minutes of stories and songs geared for our friends ages 5 and under. Summer Storytimes will be held outdoors, and in the case of inclement weather, will be canceled. When attending Library programs, please wear a mask which covers your nose and mouth. All patrons ages 2 and up are required to wear masks at all times, regardless of vaccination status. You may be asked to keep distance between yourself and staff, and social distancing with other patrons is highly encouraged.

Virtual Read and Meet Book Discussion

Join us for a book group designed for Millennials. This month we'll be discussing our August selection, Black Is the Body by Emily Bernard.

Teen Temporary Tattoos
|

|
Brookline Village Library Lawn

|
Teens in grades 8-12, drop by the Brookline Village Library lawn to get temporary tattoos, including glitter tattoos, and have fun creating designs! We will be offering pre-designed tattoos as well as a chance to design your own black and white art, time permitting. The temporary tattoo ink will wash off with soap and water, while the glitter tattoos will last a few days.
