Lock Down Your Online Identity

THURSDAY, November 4 at 2:30 PM

How can you lock down your personal information online? What does it mean to get doxxed? What do you do if it happens to you? Whether you’re worried about your address, passwords, cell phone, or credit cards, this workshop gives you both preventive and reactive steps you can take to protect your digital identity and maintain your peace of mind.

Instructor Ken Gagne is a Technical Account Manager at Newspack. When not working with business clients to launch new websites, Ken hosts the audio podcasts Polygamer and Transporter Lock and the YouTube channel Gamebits. A Massachusetts native, Ken is now a digital nomad, traveling the country and the world and working anywhere there’s Wi-Fi.

Sign up for our online security workshop here!

If you will be calling into the meeting over the phone, you can also register by calling the Library at 617-730-2370.

This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.

Virtual Taiji Qigong

Taiji Image

Have you tried out our Taiji Qigong classes? Our series runs through December 15, and new participants are always welcome! The series introduces a breathing and movement practice called Taiji Qigong 18 Forms. This set, developed by Professor Lin Hou Sheng, is made up of a combination of movements from Taiji Chuan (Tai Chi) and Qigong breathing and movements. All classes are drop-in, so you can attend any or all sessions.

When done regularly, this set has been shown to promote relaxation. It is simple to learn and the moves can be adapted to suit the needs of the individual. We will also work with various auxiliary practices to support the learning of the Taiji Qigong set, including some joint and muscle limbering movements, breathing exercises, and standing and seated meditation practice.

Sign up for Taiji Qigong 18 Forms here!
