The Library is happy to announce that we will no longer require children to be three years old to sign up for a library card. Children ages birth to twelve can now sign up for a card with their parent or legal guardian present. Parents/guardians should be prepared to show their own ID and a proof of address.

Tweens and teens ages thirteen to seventeen can sign up without their parent or guardian present if they show their student ID and a proof of address. Are you ready to get your library card? Read more about the requirements for a library card and register for a temporary card online today!

Flash Fiction Writing Workshop

Flash Fiction Writing Workshop graphic January 2023

TUESDAY, January 10 at 7 PM

Start off the year with creativity at our flash fiction writing workshop! Authors Chandreyee Lahiri and Malavika Shetty will discuss their own writing journeys, give an introduction to flash fiction (very short stories), and provide a writing prompt. Then everyone will have a chance to write their own piece of flash fiction. Come write with us, whether you’ve been writing for a while or you want to give creative writing a try.

Click here to register for this virtual writing workshop!

We’re delighted to welcome Chandreyee and Malavika back to the Library. If you attended their writing workshop last year, please note that there will be new material and prompts at this program. And if you’re new to flash fiction, this will be a great place to get started!

This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.
