Pride at the Library

Saturday, June 21 from 1 to 4 PM

Join us for our Pride Month celebration! This all-ages event will feature The Femmes Band, a family-friendly drag show with Dottie Ave, a photobooth, and all kinds of fun swag! All are welcome.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library and the Brookline Library Foundation.

Queer YA Author Panel

Tuesday, June 17 from 6 to 8 PM

The Public Library of Brookline is proud to present an evening with local Queer YA authors Sara Farizan, Sacha Lamb, and Kasey LeBlanc! Teen Librarian Tori will moderate the conversation and facilitate audience questions. Following the event, Brookline Booksmith will be on site selling the author's titles and the event will conclude with a book signing from all three authors. While this event is geared towards teens, anyone is welcome to attend!

Get to Know Your Government: Massachusetts Office on Disability

Come learn about the Massachusetts Office on Disability! The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) is a small state agency that provides information, guidance, and training on disability-related civil rights and architectural access. They help people understand their disability rights and obligations, how regulations apply to the specifics of their situation, and practical steps they can take to assert their rights and comply with the law. There are a lot of state agencies and other organizations that serve the disability community. This presentation will help you navigate the government, have more successful government interactions, and learn more about MOD and how they can help you. It does not include legal information.
