Do animals get earaches? Sore throats? Stomach aches? Who helps them if they can’t talk?
Meet Jennifer Welborn, former science teacher and the author of Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals, an award-winning STEM picture book based on and informed by real-world veterinarians. Following a reading from Dr. Rosie, participants will get to diagnose and treat a stuffed animal - bring a stuffy from home, or borrow a stuffed friend to treat! Each participant will receive a mini vet kit and diagnostic/treatment sheet to take home.
This program is ideal for kids ages 4-8 and their grownups. Due to program limitations capacity is limited, so tickets for this session can be picked up on a first come, first served basis at the children’s desk starting at 1 PM on the day of the event.
