Coolidge Corner Renovation Project

The Coolidge Corner Library will begin a renovation project on June 3, 2018. The Brookline Village and Putterham Libraries will have expanded hours while the Coolidge Corner Library is closed for renovations. Limited library services will also be available at the Sussman House at 50 Pleasant Street during the renovations.

The Public Library of Brookline, together with the Chestnut Hill Garden Club and the Garden Club of Brookline, invites you to step into a colorful and aromatic world of flowers inspired by books. See incredible floral arrangements displayed throughout the Brookline Village Library.
Stop by anytime during regular library hours, grab a map, and see all the beautiful designs brought to life by the creativity of our local garden clubs and library staff.

Friends Annual Meeting: Leading Women

Tuesday, June 5

Join us for the annual meeting of the Friends of the Brookline Public Library as we host Susan Quinn, author of the bestselling memoir Eleanor and Hick. Quinn, our own leading woman, will talk about her experiences growing up as a child from an Ohio mill town into an adult with a varied and accomplished career as a biographer, journalist, investigative reporter, and actress.
Short business meeting at 6:30 PM.
Author talk begins at 7 PM.
Refreshments will be served.

But there on a tube platform, the past catches up to her in the form of Gabe, her ex, traveling on his own parallel vacation with new girlfriend Sadie.

Author Visit: Rescue and Jessica

Come meet authors Jessica Kensky, Patrick Downes, and Rescue the dog and hear about their new book Rescue and Jessica: A Life-Changing Friendship! Based on a real-life partnership, this heartening story of the love and teamwork between a girl and her service dog will illuminate and inspire.

MONDAY, June 4 at 7 PM

Join creative writing workshop leader Robert Uttaro to stretch your creative writing imagination. Every Monday for the month of June he will provide teen writers the mental space, resources, and advice to get their writing flowing. Open to teens in grades 7 through 12. Each session will meet at 7 PM in the Commons on the ground floor.

Personal Comics Workshop
