New Group for Teens: Books & Bites
WEDNESDAYS at 3 PM
Teens in grades seven through twelve are invited to join the Teen Librarian for a casual chat about reading, authors, and the best stories they’ve ever read!
This is not a traditional book club—no reading assigned! Instead, we are gathering together to recommend titles, authors, and our favorite stories in all kinds of media. The only rule: if you want a snack, you have to recommend a title or author and listen to everyone else’s recommendations.

Recipes: Breakfast Chia Pudding
Enjoy a recipe—and a reading recommendation—courtesy of Library staff. This week, try Breakfast Chia Pudding, an original creation from Callan, Assistant Library Director for Technology.
Ingredients: 2/3 cup chia seeds, 2 cups milk,1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp honey
Optional mix-ins/toppings: 1-2 tbsp chopped walnuts, 1-2 tbsp coconut flakes, 2-4 tbsp trail mix of your choice, 1/2-1 cup blueberries
Optional toppings when serving: Bananas, blueberries, any fresh berries you like.
Directions: Combine chia seeds, milk, honey, and vanilla extract in a small bowl; let sit about 10 minutes. The seeds will slowly appear to expand and turn blueish. Stir the mixture, add your mix-ins, cover the bowl with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Serve the pudding with whichever fresh fruit toppings you like.
