Borrow an Expert Launch Party

Want to learn something new, but not sure where to start? The Library is proud to introduce Borrow an Expert! Learn more, meet the experts, and enjoy complimentary brain food at our launch party on Tuesday, March 26 at the Brookline Village Library.
Borrow an Expert will be offered at all Public Library of Brookline locations. For a list of available topics, please visit our website.

Library Website Survey

The Public Library of Brookline is looking to improve the experience of using our website, making it easier for you to find what you're looking for and discover new things along the way. Five volunteers will be selected to participate in a 30-minute observation while they are completing key tasks on our website - and will receive a $20 gift card to Brookline Booksmith! If you are interested in applying to participate, please sign up by Friday, April 5.

Albino Mbie is a multi-award winning musician, composer, and sound engineer born in Maputo, Mozambique. Mbie’s music incorporates his experiences from Mozambique, the United States, and many other places around the world, combining rhythmic patterns and musical concepts to create a unique Afro-Pop and Moz-Jazz sound. Generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.

3D Printing for Tweens

THURSDAY, March 28 at 4 PM

Learn the ins and outs of 3D printing, including programs such as TinkerCAD and Thingiverse, and create your very own 3D object!

Open to kids in grades 5-7. All tweens must have a valid email address, or access to a guardian’s email address. Registration required. Limited to 8 tweens.

Read & Run Book Group

THURSDAY, April 4 at 6 PM

Come run, come all! The Public Library of Brookline is excited to announce a new book group: Read & Run. This group will meet every Thursday from 6-7:30 PM over the next three months to discuss books and train together for a 5K - no previous running experience required.

Join us Thursday, April 4 at 6 PM in the Conference Room for the first informational meeting and a guest lecture by a trainer at the Beacon Hill Athletic Club. We look forward to reading and running with you.
