How the Web Works

The Internet wasn’t just there when we woke up one morning. An indirect result of America’s Space Race with Russia, the Internet and the World Wide Web (which are not the same thing!) are complex networks of computers, numbers, and protocols. This class demystifies what’s happening under the hood of your computer so you can better understand where your data come from—and where it’s going.

Instructor Ken Gagne is a Technical Account Manager at WordPress VIP. When not working with business clients to launch new websites, Ken hosts the audio podcasts Polygamer and Transporter Lock and the YouTube channel Gamebits. A Massachusetts native, Ken is now a digital nomad, traveling the country and the world and working anywhere there’s Wi-Fi.
