Japanese Paper Theater (Kamishibai) with Yumi – CANCELED

Join storyteller Yumi Izuyama to experience kamishibai in person, as she retells Goethe’s famous fable, The Boy and the Jaguar! Kamishibai is a Japanese paper storytelling method that will engage kids and adults alike.

The program includes STEM art activities after the performance to enhance the engagement of the children and show how these stories can relate to them and their own families and community.

Visit Yumi Izuyama’s website for more information on Kamishibai at http://japanesepapertheater.com/.

For children ages four to seven years old.

This program is brought to you by Ideaspace. Ideaspace is generously funded by the Brookline Library Foundation and brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
