Japanese Paper Theater (Kamishibai) with Yumi

Join Kamishibai Storyteller Yumi Izuyama to experience the Legend of the Sunflower! Kamishibai is a Japanese paper storytelling method that will engage kids and adults alike for a retelling of the Amazonian origin story for sunflowers. Hear about the history of kamishibai, discuss the Amazon forest, enjoy the kamishibai presentation, and create a sunflower to take home! For children ages four to seven years old. Please arrive early to ensure a spot; this program is first-come, first-serve, to the first 30 children.
Visit Yumi Izuyama’s website for more information on Kamishibai at http://japanesepapertheater.com/.
