Min Jin Lee and KL Pereira in conversation with Katie Eelman

In partnership with Brookline Booksmith, Katie Eelman will be speaking with Min Jin Lee and KL Pereira about their most recent novels.
In Min Jin Lee’s gorgeous, sprawling National Book Award finalist, four generations of a poor Korean immigrant family fight to control their destiny in 20th-century Japan, exiled from a home they never knew. KL Pereira’s collection weaves elements of fairy tale, folklore, and myth into the lives of women, children, and immigrants. Free of normative ideas of gender, class, race, and sexuality, Pereira explores rebirth amidst darkness.
