Queer Reading Group

Join us to read and discuss books by queer authors in a variety of genres. This group has a stress-free structure, where the conversation we develop about identity, gender, race, and all intersections that these generate is just as important as reading the book. We make space to feel safe, ask questions, and learn. Approach with curiosity and we’ll meet you more than halfway: you’ll fit right in.

This month, we’ll have a hybrid meeting, so you can attend either in person at the Brookline Village Library or via Zoom. Our August book is Light from Uncommon Stars, right in time for our event with author Ryka Aoki. Come discuss the book, help think up questions to ask the author, and snack on donuts!

To see a list of the books we will be reading over the next few months, please click here.

No registration required to attend in person. To attend via Zoom, sign up for the virtual Queer Reading Group here.

If you will be calling into the meeting over the phone, you can also register by calling the Library at 617-730-2370.

This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.
