Quidditch at the Library

This event is now sold out for active players.  However, you are welcome to come and watch on the lawn!

Join members of one of our local Quidditch teams from Boston University to learn how to play Quidditch!

You’ll learn the basics of Quidditch, see how the seven player teams work together, and get a chance to play a few matches yourself.  Dress for the day’s weather but remember that you’ll be actively running, tagging, and possibly even tumbling a bit.

Limited to 25 players. Everyone is welcome to come and watch, of course!

From the U.S. Quidditch Association, “Quidditch is a co-ed contact sport with a unique mix of elements from rugby, dodgeball, and tag. A quidditch team is made up of seven athletes who play with brooms between their legs at all times. While the game can appear chaotic to the casual observer, once familiar with the basic rules, quidditch is an exciting sport to watch and even more exciting to play.”  For more on Quidditch, please visit the U.S. Quidditch Association website.

BU Quidditch was founded in the spring of 2008 and is an official member of the International Quidditch Association. BUQ strives to embody the three mission goals set forth by the IQA: competition, creativity, and community; through our successes in intercollegiate tournaments, participation in team events, and commitment to community service activities in the Boston area.
