Black History Month Transcribathon

Join us to explore Black history through historical documents. We’ll use the new online By the People program to explore and help preserve materials housed in the Library of Congress. Library staff will teach you how to transcribe or review these historical letters, speeches, manuscripts and other writings.

No experience necessary, just an interest in learning. The materials cover a wide range of topics, including traditional music and activism, and there will be plenty of time to collaborate with fellow participants and share your discoveries.
