Telescope Launch Party

Join us as the Library celebrates the expansion of our latest collection, circulating telescopes! Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa – and other out-of-this-world refreshments – and learn how to use these incredible devices to explore the night sky.

John Root from Aldrich Astronomical will give a presentation about the telescopes, how to use them, and what you can see from your own back yard. Afterward, telescopes will be set up outside the library for a special night sky viewing. Come be one of the first to add your name to the list to take a telescope home, win prizes, and more. All ages are welcome.

Many thanks to the Friends of the Library for their generous support and contribution, and to Aldrich Astronomical for the construction and maintenance of these special library telescopes.
