Self-Defense & Energy With The Boston School of Boabom

Join us at the Library as we partner with The Boston School of Boabom to learn basic self defense techniques in a fun, positive class. Based in Boabom, a Tibetan system of self-defense, relaxation, and meditation, this class will teach you a variety of simple but effective ways to remain calm in a tense situation and defend yourself should you need to. We will also learn some fundamental breathing and stretching, along with techniques to evade, escape, and defend ourselves. Partner practice will be an optional part of the class. All are welcome!
This class will be taught by Yemado, a senior teacher of Boabom, Seamm Jasani, and Yaanbao, and the Director of The Boston School of Boabom, located right here in Brookline. He has taught courses and seminars throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, Asia, and South America. He is the co-translator and editor of a number of books about the Boabom Arts, including The Secret Art of Seamm-Jasani.

This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.
