A Message from Library Staff

We at the Library would like to take a moment to let our community know how much we miss you and that we're sending you all our best wishes. We can't wait to see you again in person. Until then, we're doing what we can to help fill your days with books, stories, and art.

Though our Library buildings are closed, we have many online resources--from virtual programs to answering your reference questions to digital books, movies, magazines, and more! Check out our website for a full list of resources and events or ask a Librarian for help.

littlefreelibrary
One of the many amazing things about being a librarian is that publishers mail us free copies of forthcoming books in hopes that we will review them and buy them for the library. We are all so sad that we can't be there to see you every day, but we thought of something we could do to get books in your hands. Last week, I drove all of the galleys around Brookline and filled all the Little Free Libraries. The books had been in isolation since March 13, and I handled them with clean gloves and a mask. Enjoy!
