An Update on Returns

Starting today, the book drops at all three libraries will be open. You may return items Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. Please do not leave any library materials outside, as we cannot be responsible for theft or damage. All materials will be quarantined for three days after you return them. They will continue to show on your record as “checked out,” but you will accrue no fines for the quarantine period.

Summer Reading

16E7E113-F9A2-4DC4-A7DF-B67330525DAD
Summer Reading has begun! This summer, we’ll be bringing Summer Reading to you online. From June 15 – August 14, we'll have reading prompts, fun activities, and online programs for patrons of all ages – plus weekly raffles and grand prize drawings for gift cards to local businesses.

Supporting our community is what the Library does best. That’s why this summer, for every person who registers between June 1 and June 30, the Friends of the Brookline Public Library will make a donation to the Brookline Food Pantry.

Check out our video about Summer Reading, and sign up on our website.

Animal Crossing: Visiting Hours

DRAFT AC Invite June 2020 Header

TUESDAY, June 16 from 3-5 PM

Join our staff between 3-5 PM to visit our library island inside the Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing. We invite all players to come and explore our island, try our obstacle course, play a new game, and maybe even win a prize (while supplies last)!

To visit us during these times and for updates on the island, please sign up for text alerts. Text @brklibAC to 81010 to sign up to receive the dodo codes on your phone. All texts will be sent via Remind and phone numbers will be kept confidential.

During each two hour period, we request that all visitors spend just under an hour exploring, and then we’ll invite new players to join us for the second hour. With this schedule, more visitors will be able to attend and enjoy the island! Remember, if you can’t fly in at first try, wait a minute and try again.
