Virtual Boabom Series: Self Defense
WEDNESDAYS, September 9, 16, and 23 at 7 PM
Learn basic self defense techniques in a fun, positive class. Based in Boabom, a Tibetan system of self-defense, relaxation, and meditation, this class will teach you a variety of simple but effective ways to remain calm in a tense situation and defend yourself should you need to. You will also learn some fundamental breathing and stretching, along with techniques to evade, escape, and defend yourself.
All you need to participate are comfortable clothes that you can move around in, enough space to stretch your arms fully, and be able to take a couple of steps. No prior experience is required. All are welcome! This class will be taught by Yemado, Director of the Boston School of Boabom.

Generously sponsored by a grant from the Brookline Community Foundation.

Join us to find out more about Girls Who Code at the Public Library of Brookline - coming to you via Zoom this fall! This meet and greet is for anyone who is curious about how the clubs work and would like to get to know this year’s facilitators. This year our club meetings will be held on Wednesdays starting September 23 at 6:30 PM through Zoom. The club regularly meets on Wednesdays between September and June 2021, with breaks during school vacations.
