Updates on Holds and Due Dates

The Library will begin clearing unclaimed holds that were available for pickup in the months of July and August. If you have items that were ready for you in July and August that you have not yet picked up, please visit us this week! This only applies to those items that were ready to pick up in July or August; all items that were ready to pick up in September will remain on hold for you for the time being.

The Library is also reinstating our regular loan rules. This means that when materials are checked out, they will be loaned for their usual time period. Most books, books on CD, and music CDs have 28-day loans. New books, and all DVDs and magazines, have 14-day loans. For a full list of loan periods, please visit our website. Items that were checked out with a November 2 due date will still be due November 2.

If you are unsure if you have items on hold or when your borrowed materials are due, please check your account online or call the Library at 617-730-2730 x 3 and a librarian will be happy to assist you.
