Brookline Porchfest

SATURDAY, June 8 at Noon
|
Join us for the fourth annual Brookline Porchfest! From noon-7 PM, porches around Brookline will host a variety of musicians. And this year, Porchfest will kick off at the Public Library of Brookline with a noontime performance by the band False Pocket on the Library lawn.

Friends of the Brookline Public Library Annual Meeting

WEDNESDAY, June 5 at 7 PM

Join the Friends of the Brookline Public Library for their annual meeting, "What Book Was That?" a conversation with Dana Brigham. For 37 years, Brigham worked at the Brookline Booksmith as a general manager and co-owner. She will speak, in conversation with Lisa Gozashti, about her journey to and with the Brookline community.

The Friends will hold a brief business meeting at 6:30 PM, and Brigham's talk will begin at 7 PM. Refreshments will be served.

Learn Something New: DIY Reusable Food Storage

Looking to reduce plastic waste from your life? Come learn how to make your own reusable beeswax food wraps and reusable macrame-style shopping bags. After this class, you’ll no longer need plastic wrap, and you’ll never be more excited to bring your own reusable bag to the grocery store.
