New Access to eMagazines & Newspapers
|
|
|
The Library is excited to announce PressReader, a digital newsstand with instant access to over 7000 of the world’s greatest newspapers and magazines, including The Washington Post, The Guardian, and Newsweek. PressReader also has publications written in a wide variety of world languages, including Chinese, Spanish, and Russian. Learn more about PressReader at the Library here.

Farmers' Market Visit

Going to the Brookline Farmers' Market this Thursday? Come say hi! The Library will be visiting the farmers' market on August 8 and August 29 from 1:30-6 PM. Come chat about our programs and services, check out a book, and get a custom-made library pin! The farmers' market is located at the Centre West Parking Lot in Coolidge Corner.

Book Donations on Hiatus Until August 18
|
|
|
Thank you to everyone who has donated books, movies, and more to the Friends' Book Sale this summer! We've received lots of donations--so many, in fact, they've filled our storage space. To give the Friends time to process these materials, we are pausing donations for the next couple weeks. So please, no donations at any Public Library of Brookline location until August 18. Donations will resume later in August, and we'll be happy to receive your donations then. In the meantime, the Friends' Book Sale will still be running, so come check it out any time the Library is open.

A limited number white T-shirts will be given out for those who need them, but we cannot guarantee any particular sizes will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own white clothing. Open to tweens entering grades 5-7 and their families.
