Writing Yourself Alive: A Creative Meditation & Writing Workshop

SATURDAY, September 14 at 2 PM

Learn to weave different forms of creative expressions – meditation, journaling, creative writing – to explore all emotions and experiences as honorable, and to practice holding space for them with curiosity, compassion, and a sense of humor.

Marika Preziuso, PhD, will use guided meditation and poetry to inspire creative writing and journaling. Participants will generate new writing and have the option to share it with others. Please bring your own writing materials, blankets, and/or meditation pillows, and wear comfortable clothing. All levels of English are welcome!

Are you a fan of children's books? Would you like to volunteer for a few hours a week? The Friends of the Brookline Public Library are looking for a volunteer to work with the book sale's popular inventory of children's books. Do you think you might be eligible for U.S. citizenship, or would you like to learn more? Come to the Brookline Village Library on Thursday, September 12, for a free info session on the process of applying for citizenship. Led by Project Citizenship, this session will include information about the benefits of citizenship, eligibility, exemption to the English requirement, and fee waivers.

A high energy Barre fusion workout with your baby or toddler taught by fitness professional and Brookline Mom, Bridget Bussiere. Class includes cardio, Barre work with your stroller (doesn’t have to be a jogging stroller!) and a mat portion, all with your baby in tow. Bring your stroller, yoga mat or blanket, wear sneakers, and get ready to make new friends!
