Author Talk: Dessa in Conversation with Michael Pollan

Rapper, singer, and writer Dessa will discuss her new book, My Own Devices, in conversation with Michael Pollan. My Own Devices is an uncompromising and candid account of a life in motion, in music, and in love. Dessa is as compelling on the page as she is onstage, making My Own Devices the debut of a unique and deft literary voice. This program is in partnership with the Brookline Booksmith.

Teens, make your voices heard! Speak out through the "For Freedoms Sign Project." Stop by the Teen Room at the Brookline Village Library to share your dreams, fears, and hopes for the future by filling out a lawn sign. Signs will be available in the Teen Room on weekday afternoons. There will be a sign installation on the Library lawn on Tuesday, October 15 at 5 PM.

Dungeons and Dragons

Come play Dungeons and Dragons at the library! All dice and manuals are provided. Bring your own character sheet or create one here. All are welcome, from beginners to (dungeon)masters. Meetings every other Friday in the tween space beginning October 4, 2019. Open to tweens and teens in grades 5 and up only.
