Trick-or-Treat at the Library

THURSDAY, October 31

Are you trick-or-treating this Halloween? Stop by the Brookline Village Library from 5-7 PM or the Putterham Library from 3:30-5:45 PM and say hello! Dress in costume, or just show your Halloween spirit, for a candy or non-candy treat. Adults and kids of all ages are welcome.

3D Printing for D&D

SATURDAY, November 2 at 1:30 PM

Plastic miniatures are a fun and helpful tool for all kinds of role playing and board games. Come learn how to make your own! We will be using an online 3D program to design characters and then 3D print them out for you to use at home or at one of the Library-hosted D&D games.

Open to all ages, though children ages 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us for a spooky, Halloween-y after school movie! Hocus Pocus is rated PG and contains mild language and scary sequences. It’s recommended for ages 8 and up.

National Novel Writing Month Write-In

Are you writing a novel this November as part of National Novel Writing Month? Join your Boston Municipal Liaisons and other NaNoWriMo participants for a Write-In where you will have structured time to get your writing done and help at a moment’s notice when your characters stop talking to you or your plot veers off the rails.

Starting a new project? Want to discuss an ongoing project? Curious about cabling? Drop by the Coolidge Corner Library’s knitting circle!

This is a casual, drop in program for knitters of all skill levels and ages. Bring your own project, or come with yarn and a pair of needles and we’ll help you get started with the basic techniques. We will also be meeting on November 21 and December 19.

Brookline's Favorite Pumpkin

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Library's annual Fall Fest. This year's favorite pumpkin, painted by library staff and voted by you, is...Olaf! Dogman came in second, followed by our Raina Telgemeier-inspired pumpkin. We'll see you again next year!
