New Children's Programming!

We're pleased to announce new weekly children's programming at the Brookline Village Library! Join us for an additional Terrific Twos (And Threes!) every Thursday at 10:30 AM. And every Thursday at 3 PM, join us for Move and Groove for children 4 and up.

We'll also be hosting Early Dismissal Movies at the Brookline Village Library at 1 PM on Thursday, November 14 and Wednesday, November 20.

Japanese Paper Theater (Kamishibai) with Yumi

Join Kamishibai Storyteller Yumi Izuyama to experience the Legend of the Sunflower! Kamishibai is a Japanese paper storytelling method that will engage kids and adults alike for a retelling of the Amazonian origin story for sunflowers. Hear about the history of kamishibai, discuss the Amazon forest, enjoy the kamishibai presentation, and create a sunflower to take home! For children ages 4-7 years old.

ABCs of 3D Printing

Come learn the basics of 3D printing! This concise introduction to the possibilities of 3D printing at the library will include a demonstration print and the possibility for all participants to send in their request. For up to six participants of any age.

Learn to Finger Knit!

Join us for an afternoon of crafting with Ideaspace. We’ll provide fun yarn and instructions on how to finger knit. Already working on your own fiber arts project? Bring it along and join us. Adults and children 8 and up welcome. Snacks will be provided.

Celebrate Brookline First Light with us by making your own light-up LED Winter Cards! Makers of all ages are welcome to drop in any time between 5 and 8 PM to learn about simple and parallel circuits by designing their own greeting card.

KMN Klezmer Trio in Concert

SUNDAY, November 24 at 2 PM

Join us for a concert of klezmer music! The KMN Klezmer Trio features Kirsten Lamb on upright bass and vocals, Michael McLaughlin on accordion, and Nat Seelen on clarinet. Lamb, McLaughlin, and Seelen have worked at the forefront of the klezmer genre, performing with Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band, Klezperanto, Shirim, Naftule’s Dream, Klezwoods, the Klezmer Conservatory Band, and many more ensembles over their careers in music. Generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.
