December To-Go Kits

Library To Go
December To-Go Kits are now available at all three library locations. Whether you want to make a bath bomb, try different pudding flavors, or create a comic book inspired keychain, we've got a craft kit for you! All kits come with everything you need to complete this month’s project, plus video instructions from one of your local librarians.

Kits are available at all library locations on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. Check out what we’re making this month!

After December, our To-Go Kits will be taking a winter vacation, but there are still plenty of ways to craft along with the Library. All of our To-Go Kit videos are available online, so you can make any of our past projects. And the Library offers access to CreativeBug for Brookline residents – check out this amazing resource for arts and crafts video classes, patterns, and projects.

Virtual Queer Reading Group

FINAL Queer Reading Group Sign Jan 2022 (Facebook Post)

THURSDAY, January 13 at 7 PM

The Library is excited to announce a brand new book group for adults: the Queer Reading Group!

Join us to read and discuss books by queer authors in a variety of genres. This group has a stress-free structure, where the conversation we develop about identity, gender, race, and their intersections is just as important as reading the book. We make space to feel safe, ask questions, and learn. Approach with curiosity and we’ll meet you more than halfway: you’ll fit right in.

Sign up for the Queer Reading Group here!

The Queer Reading Group will meet the second Thursday of the month, starting on January 13. Our first book is Cheer Up!: Love and Pompoms. You can request a copy of the book here in our catalog. And check out future book selections here!
