UPCOMING EVENTS

On Display at the Library

Sarah Smith Comfort Books Display
On Display at the Brookline Village Library: Books for Comfort, Books for Inspiration

In times like these we need comfort and inspiration. Local authors and people round the internet share the books, old and new, that have comforted and inspired them. Local authors talk about why they write, and do other creative things, during this time. This exhibit, presented by Brookline author Sarah Smith, will be on display through the month of January.

Virtual Queer Reading Group

FINAL Queer Reading Group Jan 2022

THURSDAY, January 13 at 7 PM

The Library is excited to announce a brand new book group for adults: the Queer Reading Group!

Join us to read and discuss books by queer authors in a variety of genres. This group has a stress-free structure, where the conversation we develop about identity, gender, race, and their intersections is just as important as reading the book. We make space to feel safe, ask questions, and learn. Approach with curiosity and we’ll meet you more than halfway: you’ll fit right in.

Sign up for the Queer Reading Group here!

The Queer Reading Group will meet the second Thursday of the month, starting on January 13. You can pick up a copy of our first book, Cheer Up!: Love and Pompoms, at the Brookline Village Library Circulation Desk. And check out future book selections here.
