Lunar New Year Celebration
Tuesday, February 1
欢迎大家参与我们的网络贺岁活动!从今天起,我们会在 YouTube 频道上播放农历新年线上故事时间和手工示范制作视频。请匆错过!
Join us for a virtual Lunar New Year Celebration! Starting Tuesday, February 1, we’ll be featuring a unique lion dance performance from the Worcester Youth Nian Dancers, a Lunar New Year storytime, and craft-along videos on our YouTube Channel. Make sure to check them out here beginning February 1!
You can also visit any of our three libraries to pick up your Lunar New Year craft-along kit, fill out a wish slip for our library Wish Trees, and enjoy other Lunar New Year fun!
Our Lunar New Year kits are intended for patrons of any age – but please, only pick up one kit per family as we have a limited supply. If you don’t get a kit, you can still celebrate with us! The craft instruction sheets included in the kits are all available on our website and you can watch fun Lunar New Year Celebration videos on our YouTube Channel.

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation, the Library Trustees, and Brookline Asian American Family Network.

Virtual Family Trivia Night
WEDNESDAY, February 9 at 7 PM
Put your knowledge of books to the test and join us for a fun night of virtual family trivia! Our trivia winners will receive prizes, so don’t miss out! This program is for all ages and will be hosted on Zoom.
Some important details for this event: You will need TWO DEVICES in order to enjoy the optimal experience – a computer/smart phone (to join the program on Zoom) and a smart phone or tablet (to play the game). If you’re playing with multiple people in the same household, only one person needs to register for and open the Zoom call. The remaining players can play the game from other devices (one per person). You can also play as one team, in which case, you’d only need one other device.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.

Virtual Queer Reading Group
THURSDAY, February 10 at 7 PM
Join us to read and discuss books by queer authors in a variety of genres. This group has a stress-free structure, where the conversation we develop about identity, gender, race, and their intersections is just as important as reading the book. We make space to feel safe, ask questions, and learn. Approach with curiosity and we’ll meet you more than halfway: you’ll fit right in.
This month's book is The Charm Offensive by Alison Cochrun. You can pick up a copy at the front desk of the Brookline Village Library.
