Outdoor Singalong with Matt Heaton

Matt Heaton 2022
Brookline Village Library

THURSDAY, April 21 at 10:30 AM

Join special performer Matt Heaton outdoors for an interactive singalong! This program is for families and kids of all ages but may be most appealing to kids ages 0-5. We can’t wait to sing along with you!

This program will be outdoors at Brookline Village on the lawn between the Library and Town Hall. If the weather is not suitable for an outdoor program, the program will be moved to Hunneman Hall. Any location change will be announced on the Library's calendar and social media.

This event is generously sponsored by the Brookline Library Foundation.

Book Donation Update

Since we started accepting book donations again, you've donated so many items that the Friends' donation bins are full! So for the moment, the Friends of the Brookline Library are unable to accept donations of books or other materials. We appreciate everyone who has donated materials, and we will be sure to announce when we can accept donations again. If you have books to donate in the meantime, we encourage you to bring them to your nearest Little Free Library.

The Friends' book sale is still up and running at the Brookline Village and Coolidge Corner Libraries, and we invite you to check it out when you visit.

Shared Habitat Earth: Art and Activism

THURSDAY, April 21 at 7 PM

Artists touch hearts and raise awareness, inviting us to look and see. Activists engage directly, through hands-on work, advocacy, and legislative action. And sometimes art and activism are so intimately connected, it’s hard to tell the difference!

Come celebrate Earth Day with artists and activists in conjunction with the group exhibit Shared Habitat Earth (SHE), on view at the Coolidge Corner Library April 16-June 30. This virtual panel features speakers from SHE, Mothers Out Front Brookline, and Surfrider Foundation Massachusetts. Hear how one artist went from painting to activism, and how another uses discarded plastics to create art. Feeling inspired? Learn about opportunities to take action with our local environmental groups!

Sign up here to attend the panel!
