This program is in partnership with the Morse Institute Library (Natick), Cary Library (Lexington), and the Brockton Public Library. This event is generously sponsored by the Library Trustees.

WEDNESDAY, August 10 at 7 PM

Want to make something awesome and meet the Library’s ideaSPACE tools up close? Then ideaSPACE Make & Meet is for you! These drop-in, hands-on activities are designed to give you a chance to ask questions and get creative with some of our favorite machines in the collection.

This month, we’re leaving the making behind and trying our hands at breaking instead! Don your safety glasses and ready your screwdrivers – we’ll be taking apart some old Chromebooks to see what’s inside. Find and label all the parts you can to win your own breakerSPACE button set or tote bag. Swing by anytime between 7 and 8 PM to join in. This project is both kiddo- and grown-up-friendly, so the whole family is welcome to participate.

We’re so excited about this program, we’re running it twice! Join us for a Tween & Teen breakerSPACE on Friday, August 26 at 3 PM.

Some important details for this event: You will need TWO DEVICES in order to enjoy the optimal experience – a computer/smart phone (to join the program on Zoom) and a smart phone or tablet (to play the game). If you’re playing with multiple people in the same household, only one person needs to register for and open the Zoom call. The remaining players can play the game from other devices (one per person). You can also play as one team, in which case, you’d only need one other device.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
