Brookline Village Library Construction
|
Please be advised that there will be ongoing construction repairs to the exterior of the Brookline Village Library starting August 26 and lasting for approximately six weeks. Some entrances to the Library and 15-minute parking in front of the building will be temporarily unavailable. Accessible parking spots and entrances will not be affected and will be available as usual. Due to the nature of the work, it may cause noise inside the library and could impact library programs and services. We appreciate your patience!

Are you ready to test your creativity, create a character, and explore fantastical situations? Join us for our fall kids role playing game: Argyle and Crew. This program is for kids aged 5-9 and is the perfect group for kids who are interested in role playing games but might be too young for our Tween Dungeons and Dragons group. Our first session will start with character creation – making a sock puppet – and talking about the basics of role playing games. Then we’ll practice our role playing skills in the rest of the sessions.

Teens ages 13+, join us for a virtual program through the Translate Gender LGBTQIA+ Youth Summer Series.

There is a ton of misinformation in the world of sexual health. Join us as we debunk common myths and provide you with inclusive, accurate, and practical information on sex, bodies, and more! We’ll discuss all types of sex, the intersection of sexuality and gender, how to keep our bodies safe, consent, practical information about STIs, and the role of “birth control” for various sexual and gender identities, including ways to stop bleeding cycles/periods in people that don't want to bleed. We will also walk you through the IRL experience of going to a health clinic for sexual health needs. This workshop is designed to empower you with the knowledge you need to navigate your unique sexual journey in the real world. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A! For teens ages 13+ only. Facilitated by Sarah Kiser (she/her) and Emma Bokhour (she/her and they/them)
