Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Draft AAPI Month Header May 2021
Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with our digital book display! We’re highlighting books and movies by and about Asian and Pacific Americans throughout history for readers of all ages. Each item is available through the Minuteman Library Network. All you need is your library card!

Check out our digital display!

Looking for more ways to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month? Tune in to Facebook, where staff will be posting recommendations for their favorite #ownvoices AAPI books for all ages!

You can also pick up a copy of our AAPI activity sheet to share an Asian American or Pacific Islander story, person, or cool thing (like an invention, food, or piece of art) that is your particular favorite. If you'd prefer to draw your answer, that's great! The first 100 returned activity sheets will get a party favor, while supplies last. At the end of May, we will share what you and other library patrons love about AAPI Month!

Virtual Family Bingo Night

DRAFT Family Bingo Night May 2021

THURSDAY, May 27 at 7 PM

Join us for a fun night of virtual family bingo! Each bingo winner will win an amazing prize, so don’t miss out! This program is for all ages and will be hosted on Zoom.

Click here to register for the Zoom link!

Some important details for this event: You will need TWO DEVICES in order to enjoy the optimal experience – a computer/smart phone (to join the program on Zoom) and a smart phone or tablet (to play the game). If you’re playing with multiple people in the same household, only one person needs to register for and open the Zoom call. The remaining players can play the game from other devices (one per person). You can also play as one team, in which case, you’d only need one other device.

This event is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.
