Virtual English Club: Cook Along

Adult English Language Learners, join us online for a special English Club event as we follow a recipe together! Participants are welcome to cook along or to watch and listen. We will be making Baked Macaroni & Cheese from the book Sweet Home Café Cookbook: A Celebration of African American Cooking by Albert G. Lukas and Jessica B. Harris

Tween/Teen Tie-Dye Party

Grab your favorite pieces of white clothing and join us for a tie-dyed afternoon outside! Bring your own piece of clothing, or use one of the t-shirts we provide. Library-provided t-shirts will be limited to 1 per person. Join us at the Putterham Library on July 9, or the Brookline Village Library on July 16!

Open to tweens and teens in grades 5-12. Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.

Summer Storytime @ The Park

FINAL Childrens Summer Storytime icon May 2021

WEDNESDAY, July 7 at 10 AM

Join us for stories under the sun! We’ll share approximately 30 minutes of stories and songs geared for our friends ages 5 and under. Summer Storytimes will be held outdoors, and in the case of inclement weather, will be canceled. When attending Library programs, please wear a mask which covers your nose and mouth. Children ages 2 through 11 and unvaccinated teens and adults must wear masks at all times. You may be asked to keep distance between yourself and staff, and social distancing with other patrons is highly encouraged.

This storytime will be held at Winthrop Square Park/Minot Rose Garden (located at St. Paul St. and Freeman St.). To sign up for text updates on all of our summer programming, including program cancellations, text “@brksummer” to 81010.

Virtual Dungeons and Dragons

Join us for weekly D&D campaigns – virtually! All participants will need free accounts on dndbeyond.com, roll20.net, and Discord. All game sessions will be Fridays at 3 PM. Participants will have access to all of the Library’s digital content on D&D Beyond, including all handbooks and guides. Limit to 10 participants per session. For tweens in grades 5-8 only.

Couldn't make our talk on attracting beneficials to your garden? You can now watch the recording online! This lively program about ways to promote birds, bees, and butterfly visitors to our gardens was presented by naturalist John Root. It was generously sponsored by the Brookline Arts Council and the Library Trustees.
