Tween & Teen Tie-Dye Party

FRIDAY, August 13 at 2:30 PM

Grab your favorite pieces of white clothing and join us at the Putterham Library for a tie-dyed afternoon outside! Bring your own piece of clothing, or use one of the t-shirts we provide. Library-provided t-shirts will be limited to one per person. Open to tweens and teens in grades 5-12.

Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Brookline Public Library.

English Club Hiatus

English Club will be going on vacation and will not meet from August 10-24. Tuesday and Friday English Club sessions will return starting Friday, August 27.

Join us for stories under the sun! We’ll share approximately 30 minutes of stories and songs in Mandarin geared for our friends ages 5 and under. Summer Storytimes will be held outdoors, and in the case of inclement weather, will be canceled.

Join us for a fun, summer-themed children’s activity! Drop in anytime during this program to complete an approximately 20 minute project geared for kids ages 5-9. Fun in the Sun will be held outdoors, and in the case of inclement weather, will be canceled.

Looking to get outdoors this summer? The Library has lots of great resources for you! We are excited to offer parking passes to Hale Reservation, so patrons can visit for free. You can request a pass here (just make sure to reserve one of the passes held at the Brookline Village Library).

We also have a brand new offering in our discount pass collection: The Trustees! Passes provide free or discounted admission to Trustees properties throughout Massachusetts, including Crane Beach and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. You can reserve a pass here.

The Library has a collection of recreational equipment, including a tent, day packs, and lawn games. Check them out, whether you're taking a camping trip, visiting a local park, or spending time in your own backyard.

Outdoor equipment must be picked up and returned at the Brookline Village Library. You can request materials online or by calling (617-730-2370) or emailing the Library.
