TUESDAY, May 15 at 7 PM

For Chitrita Banerji food has been the primary medium of storytelling. It is a story about the land she comes from, far from the land where she now lives. It is a story of a region which is extraordinarily blessed with natural plenty, a rich language and culture, and a culinary tradition that is at once delicate and potent. At this event, Chitrita will discuss the history of spices in Indian class, cuisine, and economy.
BROOKLINE EATS
Part of the Brookline Eats! series.
Supported by a grant from the Brookline Community Foundation. Generously sponsored by the Friends and Trustees of the Brookline Library.

MEET STAFF PETS

Willoughby and Emmett

What you call them every day other than their name: Wubs and Em&Em.
A favorite quirk in their behavior: Willoughby is a cuddler (even though he's 50 pounds). Emmett puts toys in his mouth and then plays soccer with a ball.
Favorite sleeping spot: Willoughby picks the couch on a pile on blankets and a pillow under his head, while Emmett sticks to Hope's dad's chair in the living room (it's really Emmett's chair now).
Can they do a trick? Emmett can give you hugs when you pick him up.
