Join Team Brookline and Run the Boston Marathon

Members of the 2018 Team Brookline marathon team.
Calling all runners! Team Brookline, the official Brookline Team of the Boston Marathon, is seeking runners for the 2019 Marathon Team.
Team Brookline is a committed group of adult runners who train together for the Boston Marathon. When runners train and run with Team Brookline, they strengthen the Brookline community, expanding access to mental health care, literacy, the arts, youth development programs, education, and the Brookline Library Foundation.

Let's Cable! Knitting Class

Come learn a new knitting technique: cable knitting. If you know how to knit and purl, you're ready to learn this fun skill.

Queer Social Group

Join us for a brand-new group! The Queer Social Group reads LGBTQ+ themed books, plays games, crafts, watches films, and more. Choose your own adventure each month and make new friends! This group is for adults and meets every fourth Thursday of the month.

Hungrytown Concert

SATURDAY, September 30 at 2 PM

Join us for an afternoon of music on the lawn with Vermont-based singer-songwriter folk duo Hungrytown. Artists Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson’s music is inspired by traditional 1960s folk with gritty and true-to-life lyrics.
The performance will be held on the lawn at the Brookline Village Library, at the intersection of School Street and Washington Street. Bring your blankets, chairs, and a picnic and come enjoy the music with us. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in Hunneman Hall.

Hogwarts at the Library

SUNDAY, October 28

Save the date for our third annual Hogwarts at the Library event! Sign-up will begin Monday, October 1 at 3 PM. Learn more about our sessions for children and families here and our session for teens and adults here.
You can also join fellow Harry Potter fans and LEGO builders to build the epic, over 6,000 brick set of Lego Hogwarts. We will meet weekly on Mondays through October 22 (no meeting on October 8 due to the holiday.) Sign up to build Hogwarts here.

Welcoming Week

September 14 - 23 is #WelcomingWeek, a time for everybody to show immigrants and refugees that they are welcome. The Library is participating by sharing photos of staff with "Welcome" signs in multiple languages. Join us in welcoming all our library patrons!
