The Brookline Library Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Public Library of Brookline, is reaching out to our community with opportunities to contribute to our Library’s future. Over the past 20 years, funds raised by the Foundation have supported renovations, technology, books and materials, programs, museum passes, and more.
There are a variety of ways to contribute to the Foundation: as board members, as committee members for events, helping with outreach to the community, assisting with social media and technology usage, fundraising, and board development.

Hungrytown Concert
SATURDAY, September 30 at 2 PM
Join us for an afternoon of music on the lawn with Vermont-based singer-songwriter folk duo Hungrytown. Artists Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson’s music is inspired by traditional 1960s folk with gritty and true-to-life lyrics.
The performance will be held on the lawn at the Brookline Village Library, at the intersection of School Street and Washington Street. Bring your blankets, chairs, and a picnic and come enjoy the music with us. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in Hunneman Hall.

Banned Books Week
Banned Books Week 2018 is September 23 - 29. This year's theme, "Banning Books Silences Stories," is a reminder that everyone needs to speak out against the tide of censorship.
The Library is playing "Guess That Banned Book!" Can you guess what book was challenged because it "Teaches children to lie, spy, back-talk, and curse"? Visit us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and take a guess.
