Recipes: Toast and Hot Chocolate

hot chocolate
Enjoy a recipeand a reading recommendationcourtesy of Library staff. This week, try Toast and Hot Chocolate. Ever since Reference Librarian Cailey's encountered it in a book, it has become a go-to comfort meal, especially in cold weather.
Ingredients: Two pieces of your favorite bread, butter, one packet of hot chocolate mix, hot water (or you can melt chocolate in warm milk if you want to get fancy).
Directions: Have your favorite mug and plate ready. Toast your bread and then spread a generous helping of butter on both pieces. Heat the water until it boils and then mix it with the hot chocolate according to the directions on the packet. If you're feeling adventurous, try dipping a piece of the toast into the hot chocolate (it's delicious).
Pair with: Beauty by Robin McKinley. In the book, toast and hot chocolate is Beauty's favorite breakfast.
