Holiday Hours
|
|
All Public Library of Brookline locations will be closed Tuesday, December 25. All Libraries will also close at 3 PM on Monday, December 24.
|
|
Additionally, all Libraries will be closed Tuesday, January 1 and will close at 5 PM on Monday, December 31.
|

Check Out the Coolidge Corner Library

Have you visited the newly renovated Coolidge Corner Library? It's open, and it looks great. Check out the new self-checkout machines, redesigned atrium, World Language Center, and more!

The Public Library of Brookline is thrilled with the Coolidge Corner Library. In fact, the Library Trustees recently issued the following resolution thanking those who worked on the project:
|
"The Trustees thank the entire staff and volunteers of the Library for their performance, participation and persistence in the renovation of the Coolidge Corner Library. Although some were more directly involved than others, the project could not have been completed on time and on budget without the efforts of all.
|

"The Trustees also thank the Brookline Library Foundation and the Friends of the Brookline Public Library for their generosity in the Coolidge Corner project."

Sign Up for Teen Event Texts

Announcing the Tween Room
|
|
|

Starting in 2019, the Brookline Village Library will have a new Tween Room and collection to offer our patrons in grades 5 to 7. Starting in January, the Commons will be reserved for our tween patrons from 2-6 PM, Monday through Friday. They’ll have access to robust fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novel collections, as well as weekly programming designed just for them.

Over the next few weeks, the Commons will be closed on certain days in order to redecorate with new paint, carpet, and furniture. The Commons will be closed on the following days:

Wednesday, December 19 from 2-9 PM
Thursday, December 20 from 2-9 PM

Become a Volunteer English Tutor
|
|
Looking for a rewarding way to connect with the community? Become a volunteer English tutor at the Public Library of Brookline. You’ll be paired with an adult English language learner and meet weekly to help them improve their English. No teaching or tutoring experience is required, and all tutors will receive training from Library staff.

Interested in becoming a tutor? Ask a librarian for a sign-up form at any Public Library of Brookline location.
